Bicyclohomofarnesal Uses

Ambroxide or Ambroxan is an important synthetic fragrance compound, and its chemical structure is similar to the core aroma component of natural ambergris (sperm whale secretion). Ambroxan is widely used in perfume, daily chemicals, food and other fields with its unique woody amber fragrance, marine scent and long-lasting fragrance fixative ability.

I. Fragrance description

Woody amber base: warm, dry woody scent with an animal feel similar to ambergris.

Marine and mineral: slightly salty marine scent, similar to sea breeze or wet rocks.

Powdery and smoky: soft powdery texture and slight smoky tail tone enhance the complex layers of fragrance.

II. Main application areas

1. Perfume and high-end fragrance fixative (Fixative)

Ambroxan is the core fixative component of top-level perfumes, which can prolong the fragrance of other volatile fragrances (such as floral and fruity fragrances) and give the fragrance "depth" and "diffusibility".

Classic application: Tom Ford, Dior, Chanel and other brands use it as a base in many woody and oriental perfumes.

Fragrance modification

Paired with sandalwood, patchouli and cedar, it strengthens the calmness of woody notes;

Combined with marine fragrances (such as watermelon ketone) to simulate the natural sea breeze atmosphere;

Blended with vanilla and amber to add a warm and sweet aftertaste.

2. Daily chemicals and personal care

Cleansing products

Added to shampoo, shower gel, and hand cream to provide a long-lasting and elegant fragrance base (especially common in men's care products).

Home fragrance

Used in candles, diffusers, and air fresheners to create a soothing marine wood atmosphere.

Fabric care

Gives clothes a "clean feeling" and a low-key luxury fragrance in softeners and clothing sprays.
