What is Calcium silicate CAS 1344-95-2?
It is composed of different proportions of CaO and SiO4, including tricalcium silicate (3CaO?SiO2) and dicalcium silicate Ca2SiO4. It is divided into two types: with water and without water. It is a white to grayish-white flowing powder that remains so even after absorbing a lot of water or other liquids. It is insoluble in water, but can form gels with inorganic acids. The pH value of the 5% suspension is 8.4 to 10.2. The relative density is 2.9.
