Physical properties
Appearance: White to light yellowish-brown crystalline powder, gradually turning rose color upon exposure to light.
Melting point: 165-169°C, boiling point: 415°C (at normal pressure), flash point: 171-204.8°C.
Solubility
Readily soluble in ethanol, acetone and ether;
Slightly soluble in chloroform;
It is insoluble in water, but the sodium salt/potassium salt has high water solubility.

Main application scenarios
Promoting root growth: Soak the base of cuttings (such as tea plants, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, etc.) in a solution of 100-1000 mg/L to accelerate the formation of adventite roots.

Regulate the flowering period: Spray chrysanthemums at a concentration of 25-400 mg/L to delay blooming.
