Phenethyl alcohol Uses
Phenethyl Alcohol is an aromatic alcohol compound with the chemical formula C₈H₁₀O. It is structurally connected by a benzene ring and an ethanol group. It has a mild rose scent and a slight honey sweet scent, and is one of the most widely used ingredients in the flavor and fragrance industry.
I. Flavor and fragrance industry
Phenethyl alcohol is the core raw material for blending floral fragrances.
Rose fragrance:
As the main component of rose fragrance (natural rose essential oil contains about 60% phenylethanol), it gives perfumes and cosmetics a soft rose scent, and is often paired with geraniol, nerolidol, etc. to enhance the layering.
Complex floral fragrance:
Used to blend jasmine, lily, lily of the valley and other fragrances, balance the sweetness of other floral ingredients, and enhance the freshness of the fragrance.
Oriental and fruity notes:
As a base note in amber, vanilla or peach, apple and other fruity notes, it provides warm sweet fragrance support.

Fragrance carrier:
