It is used as a stationary liquid in gas chromatography and as an analytical reagent. It is also used for organic synthesis purposes as a polar solvent with strong dissolving power and good selectivity. Most organic compounds and polymers can be dissolved in norbornesultan, or mixed with it. It is mainly used as an extraction agent for aromatic compounds, a solvent for polymer spinning or casting films, a purification agent for natural gas and synthetic gas, for the purification and desulfurization of syngas, and as a solvent for rubber and plastics. In addition, it can be used in the textile printing and dyeing industry as a dyeing aid, which can make the colors bright and shiny. Norbornesultan solvent has high solubility for aromatic compounds, good selectivity, good thermal stability, low vapor pressure, low toxicity, and no corrosion to carbon steel. Therefore, the norbornesultan extraction technology has become the most widely used aromatic extraction technology in the world at present. It is used for natural gas purification and desulfurization, for aromatic extraction of reformate oil, for the removal of impurities such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and organic sulfur in hydrogen, and for extracting aromatic compounds from gas mixtures. Gas chromatography stationary liquid (maximum operating temperature 100℃, solvent acetone), for separating and analyzing lower hydrocarbon isomers; used as a selective solvent for gas-liquid extraction, for extracting aromatic hydrocarbons from aliphatic hydrocarbons, and for removing acidic gases from gas mixtures.
