Vanillyl Butyl Ether (VBE) is a synthetic flavor compound, an ether derivative of vanillin (vanillin), with a unique vanilla aroma and thermal stability. Its chemical structure is similar to vanillin, but the introduction of the butyl ether group enhances its stability in high temperature environments and prolongs the aroma release time.

I. Food Industry

High-temperature processed foods:

VBE's high-temperature resistance makes it widely used in baked foods (such as bread, biscuits, cakes), fried foods (such as potato chips) and high-temperature sterilized products (such as canned foods and instant soups). It can maintain aroma stability during processing and avoid volatile losses.

Dairy products and desserts:

Used in ice cream, chocolate, pudding, etc., it provides a long-lasting vanilla flavor and synergizes with the cream aroma to enhance the taste.

Seasonings:

Added to coffee, milk tea powder, and flavored syrups to make up for the aroma loss of vanillin during high temperature or long-term storage.
