Adipic acid dihydrazide (ADH) is the most suitable acylhydrazone crosslinking agent. In water-based paint emulsions, ADH combined with diacetone acrylamide has been widely applied. ADH is weakly alkaline. Directly adding solid ADH to the emulsion may cause coagulation. Usually, ADH should be dissolved in hot water (it is not soluble well in cold water) before use.
Adipic dihydrazide is a bifunctional compound of dihydrazide. It can be cross-linked with sodium hyaluronic acid to serve as a protein drug carrier. It plays a cross-linking role in the cross-linking process of water emulsions and water-soluble polymers, such as water-based coatings, adhesives, fiber treatment, hair gel, etc. It can also be used as a curing agent for epoxy powder coatings and a helper for water-based coatings, a metal deactivator, and other high-molecular auxiliaries and water treatment agents, indoor formaldehyde adsorbent and intermediate raw materials.
Adipic dihydrazide, in combination with bifunctional crosslinking reagents, is specifically used for aldehydes to form relatively stable hydrazone linkages. Particularly, it is used for connecting glycoproteins, such as antibodies.
Adipic dihydrazide is used as a homofunctional coupling agent for aldehydes, capable of generating relatively stable amidine bonds; for the coupling of sugar proteins, such as antibodies, a high-level chemical iodate oxidation reaction occurs at specific positions; at pH 5.0, the oxidation reaction and the coupling reaction can be conveniently carried out, as the low pKa value of the amide hydrazide can avoid competitive reactions with primary amines.
Adipic dihydrazide is mainly used as a curing agent for epoxy powder coatings, as well as a coating additive, metal deactivator, and other high-molecular additives and water treatment agents.
