Polyethyleneimine is the most thoroughly studied material among polymer drug carriers, featuring both linear and branched structures. Its surface contains a large number of amino groups, which can be diversified in function through chemical modifications such as acetylation, carboxylation, hydroxylation, polyethylene glycol (PEG), oligosaccharides, targeted modification or Chemicalbook fluorescence labeling, etc. This product is a colorless, highly viscous liquid. Soluble in water and ethanol, hygroscopic, insoluble in benzene and acetone. Precipitation will occur when it meets sulfuric acid with a pH value lower than 2.4. The aqueous solution is positively charged and coagulates when formaldehyde is added.
It can be used as a wet strength agent for unbonded breathable paper, a retention aid and a pulping agent during the papermaking process, and can reduce the pulping degree of the pulp. Improve the dehydration capacity of paper. Increase the dryness of the paper by 1% to 4%. Increase production capacity by 5% to 20%.

This property can be utilized as an epoxy resin reactant, aldehyde adsorbent and dye fixative.
